Brendon Kensel, Managing Partner
Brendon Kensel, the Managing Partner of Kensel & Co., is an experienced entrepreneur and operator with a deep background in building and advising high-growth companies, with a particular focus on fintech, specialty finance, and healthcare service companies.
Recently Brendon built and scaled PrimaHealth Credit, a fintech company building the future of patient finance. As the founder and CEO, he led the company from concept to commercialization and the platform financed almost 30,000 patients, representing over $105 million in originations. As a former operator of an orthodontic DSO, Brendon saw first-hand how patients can struggle to pay for out-of-pocket expenses, and it was heartbreaking when patients could not get approved for financing for themselves or their children. Brendon founded PrimaHealth Credit to solve this and to enable elective care providers to serve patients across the income and credit spectrum with a single credit application.
Earlier, Brendon advised Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics, a leading Northern California dental service organization (DSO) serving pediatric patients. While there he built and managed the orthodontic business line and drove significant year-over-year growth in production. He also advised on strategic growth initiatives including M&A.
Previously, Brendon co-founded Elite Smiles, an orthodontic DSO. The company operated a mix of de novo and affiliated offices and offered an integrated back-office that provided complete practice management including marketing, call center staffing, scheduling, purchasing, and billing.
Earlier in his career Brendon held several leadership roles at media, marketing, and technology companies where he was responsible for growing and transforming the businesses through new product and technology initiatives, strategic partnerships, and M&A.
A thought leader in fintech, specialty finance, and healthcare services, Brendon has spoken at Money20/20, Fintech Nexus (LendIt), and the Dykema DSO conference. Brendon and his companies have also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, TechCrunch, and the American Banker.
